Dr Sacha Evans

Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr. Sacha Evans is a highly experienced child and adolescent psychiatrist who works with children and young people aged 5–17/18 presenting with a wide range of mental health difficulties. She offers comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evidence-based interventions, with a particular focus on understanding each child’s emotional, developmental, and relational context.

Dr. Evans has specialist expertise in neurodevelopmental conditions including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and tic disorders, as well as functional disorders such as functional neurological disorder (FND) and functional tics. She also works extensively with mood disorders, including depression and anxiety, and supports young people experiencing suicidal ideation and self-harm. Her clinical approach integrates careful diagnostic formulation with practical, compassionate treatment planning.

A core part of Dr. Evans’ practice involves working with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma and abuse. She adopts a trauma-informed approach, recognising the impact of adverse experiences on mental health and development. Dr. Evans frequently collaborates with neurology teams and other professionals to ensure joined-up, holistic care for young people with complex presentations.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr. Evans has contributed to academic research and publications in child and adolescent and adult mental health. Her academic interests include neurodevelopmental disorders, trauma, autism in the context of maltreatment, and mental health service provision.
